Melbourne at Night – A city with many views

Ive lived in Melbourne now for more then ten years, Ive seen a lot happen in the city, from protests to celebrations and there is always something on offer, just recently I had to shoot a job for my boss which included some night shots, this image was taken during the last full moon;

Night photography can be a bit of guess work at times specially when it comes to estimating the time that you need to lock the shutter open for, however with practice you will find that you will be able to gauge tis pretty well from the lights and reflections , in the age of digital its easy enough to view the image on the screen and then be able to know weather to leave it for a longer or shorter period.

More images can be seen in the Melbourne at Night Collection.
