Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Phillip descended on Melbourne today where thousands of well wishers waited many hours to catch a glimpse of the head of our monarchy, maybe even the last visit to Australia, however for a person who has outlasted more then 10 US presidents, I do believe the Queen will be back soon. Arriving at 8am in the morning and taking claim on a front row location, we waited over 4 hours for their arrival.
The Queen and Prince Phillip started there day opening the new Royal Children’s Hospital, from there they traveled by motorcade and arrived at Federation Square toured the Ian Potter Gallery and then walked across Federation Square itself, where she met and greeted many people. From here Queen Elizabeth, Prince Phillip and accompanying dignitaries boarded a reconditioned Z-Class Tram which had a Royal Color Scheme for some very special passengers, traveling from Federation Square down to Government House Drive were Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Phillip where escorted to Government House via a motorcade – Refer to Map
